About this temple
Siddhivinayak at Siddhatek is the Bhima-side Ashtavinayak shrine in Karjat taluka of Ahilyanagar district. The right-turned trunk and the practice of circumambulating the hill distinguish this temple from the similarly named Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai.
History
The state tourism account describes a north-facing black-stone temple, later expansion in 1970 and earlier patronage traditions. No precise date for the origin of worship should be inferred simply from the yatra’s antiquity.
Legends & Religious Traditions
The shrine is associated with Vishnu attaining siddhi before overcoming Madhu and Kaitabha. The name therefore relates to accomplishment through Ganesha worship in the local religious narrative.
Architecture / Physical Features
State tourism describes the north-facing shrine, stone ceiling, Nagarkhana and Jaya–Vijaya figures. The deity’s right-turning trunk is confirmed in the district account.
Rituals, Worship and Seva
The hill pradakshina is a longer outdoor observance. It is distinct from a short circuit immediately around the sanctum.
Pilgrim Facilities and Accommodation
The Trust offers accommodation enquiries through the temple office and describes a daily noon–2:00 PM Mahaprasad arrangement. Booking and meal contributions should be checked directly rather than assumed from an old guide price.
Accessibility and Senior Visitor Guidance
State tourism describes rough, thorn-lined ground on the hill circumambulation. A visitor can distinguish ordinary darshan from undertaking that more demanding route.

Contradictory Accounts and Variations
A Pune district page places Siddhatek among Pune’s temples, but the Trust address and Ahilyanagar district page identify Karjat taluka in Ahmednagar/Ahilyanagar district. The latter identity is used here. The Trust’s “11 PM” Mahapuja entry conflicts with its 9:30 PM close and needs confirmation.
